Virginia is a thought-provoking and silent FBI detective story that shares similarities and themes of X-Files and a little Twin Peaks. While the length isn’t a problem and keeps the game’s story from overstaying its welcome, the gameplay follows the trending crowd of walking simulators with no ability to move faster. But it’s this pace at which the game forces you move that makes sense with the story being told; keeping the player interested in the progression of the story without feeling like the game is urgently slowing you down. The score for this game is really great too; conveying all the necessary emotional tones the game deserves and makes up for the lack of any voice acting or dialogue. If you have some extra cash to spend, this is a great game, with a very poignant story.
For trophy hunters, the game has a very easy platinum; it just requires a second play through and collecting a couple of items.
